We never used the 650 screen much, except when I was changing settings for HT equipment, and I figured out some workarounds for the fact that the Companion doesn't have the capability of switching directly to a certain device like the 650 does. After choosing that option, only had to redo one device's config due to switching from IR to BT.

When configuring the Hub, the software asked if I was replacing a Harmony remote and gave the option to copy everything to the new one. Finally found one at Best Buy for the regular price of $150. By that time I had to look around quite a bit to find one that was normal price due to everyone gouging because of the discontinuation.

Excellent response, nice button layout, great WAF approval. Turned off all CEC and ARC settings in all devices, did some extensive 650 programming, and never looked back. That's when the real issues with CEC started, including strange power on and off, inconsistent response, and more. Then we upgraded HT equipment, and unless you're going with very high end, staying with one brand doesn't work real well. Had some luck with keeping single brand for everything, and it worked okay, but there were little things like lag and a bit of double key presses etc. Figured the main problem was that the tech just needed more time, and from what I read then, many others thought the same thing.
